Damaging Children With the Christian Gospel
by cofty inthe christian gospel begins with the dehumanising assertion that all humans are fallen sinners who deserve nothing but god's judgement and wrath.. not only does this taint all relationships between christians and unbelievers, it destroys the beautiful innocence of childhood.
in a recent edition of the popular christian radio program "family life today", titled “introducing your child to god,” co-host bob lepine discussed teaching “practical theology” to his young daughter, explaining:.
when my daughter, amy, was still less than two years old, i started teaching practical theology to her.

Remember when you 1st learned "The Truth"? Want to experience that tingle in a new way?
by Terry inyou can't unring a bell once rung.. you can't unknow nor can you forget being deceived, tricked, lied to and misled.. the truly awful aftershock of waking up to the 'truth about the truth' is the death of wonder,.
belief, and absolute certainty that you know what life is all about.
in fact, for most of us the path is the same.we begin investigating our foundational belief system.

"I know, I know, it's lunacy."
He's so right. I could only stomach about 14 minutes of this lunacy though it's past my bedtime.
I mean he's the soft voice of pseudo-reason uttered by the putrid brain of conspiracy theories.

Has anyone been outed by jw health care workers?
by purrpurr incarrying on from audespare thread.
i was wondering how common it is for a sinner/apostate to be outed by a babbling jw care worker?
say you went to your dr because you were pregnant and unmarried or wanting counseling for having to live a double life as a pretend jw... and a jw secretary at the drs office saw this on your file and went tattling to the elders?.

I maybe wrong about the book but I think it was in Franz's book Crisis of Conscience or perhaps In Search of Christian Freedom that mentioned a similar story to what you're saying. If I recall it was a woman who went to a clinic to obtain a medication for a sexually transmitted disease. The receptionist was a JW who recognized her and told the elders. The doctor could have been sued but the patient decided not to.
There was even a Watchtower that stated that if you knew of any wrongdoing you were obligated to report it to the elders even if it was against the law to do so.

First, see a general practitioner. They would know which specialist they can refer you to. -

Are the British authorities going to follow the methods of the Australian Commission by focusing on each institution like the Catholic church as well as the JWs?
Also, considering England's population being 3 times larger than Australia, I would guess that they would have about three times the number of cases (3,000) that Australia has.

Courtesy Towards Senior Bicyclists, or First Time Riding in 45 Years!
by compound complex ingreetings, fellow posters:.
i bought a nearly new 7-speed bicycle at a yard sale for $30 last weekend and took it out this morning on our paved local bicycle/walking trail.
the last time i rode was in my early- to mid- twenties when i used a bicycle to get to and from the kh for my pioneer service.

We all lose our sense of balance when we get old. This is what I ride:
Unlike other three wheelers a recumbent bike handles like a car. It could be easily accessorized with all the bells and whistles including a canopy to block sun and rain. It also stands out, making it a little safer than conventional bikes. It's a bit pricey though.

steve2,
BTW, in New Zealand, there is an increasing trend towards unigender restrooms so it is not an issue.
By unigender do you mean restrooms for more than one occupant?
